On the surface, USC Gould is known as a world-class institution and one of the most diverse law schools in the country. But there is so much more. I selected USC after visiting the campus and experiencing the warmth of the admissions team, faculty and administration. Nearly every entity of USC Gould has been there to help or guide me along. It has also been easy to get involved - I am a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program and work in the Post-Conviction Justice Project. I also serve on the executive board of the Black Law Students Association. Working as a summer fellow in the legal department of Mattel, Inc. and taking a course called Copyright, Trademark and Fictional Characters really sparked my interest in intellectual property litigation. I was able to connect with brilliant IP lawyers and learn more about their successes and challenges in high-profile legal disputes.
