Robert C. and Nanette T. Packard Professor of Law

I chose to attend USC Gould as a law student, and a year after graduation, to join the faculty. The school has always sought to be a true academic community, one in which faculty, staff, students and graduates are invested in mutual recognition of and appreciation for the contributions each make to the success of the school's missions of teaching, research and scholarship.

This shared appreciation manifests itself in many ways. The student culture is one of cooperation instead of selfish competition. Students have many opportunities to work with faculty in research and scholarship. Student organizations are vibrant and effective in adding to the intellectual life of the school and in providing important legal services in public interest and public service.

This is an academic community in which all its members can flourish and find personal satisfaction.
